My Journey

From a young age, I’ve always had two passions—helping others and creating art. Whether designing welcome brochures for new international students or baking cakes to raise funds for the hungry, I loved using my strengths to bring positivity to others.

In the winter of 2019, I decided to combine these passions by creating my brand, Share & Spread, and designing its logo. I wanted the brand to be a constant reminder to keep doing good and to inspire others to use their skills and interests to spread positivity and support worldwide.
When COVID-19 hit in early 2020, many people were hesitant to wear masks, so I decided to make a difference through design. Under the S&S brand, I started creating fun, uplifting masks with messages like “We’ll get through this!” The masks quickly gained popularity, leading me to design more, with themes like animals, Halloween, Christmas, and New Year’s greetings. So far, I’ve sold masks in Korea, the US, and Spain, raising over $1,600 for causes like the SeoHyun Foundation Uganda, Fundación Aladina, and Democracy Prep Harlem Elementary School.
As Share & Spread grew, I realized the need for a more formal structure. With my parents’ support, I registered Share & Spread as a company in Korea in late 2020. This has allowed me to collaborate with various partners, including small businesses willing to produce custom merchandise in limited quantities. I’ve since expanded the S&S product line to include coffee mugs, t-shirts, hoodies, dining plates, and more.

Over the past four years, Share & Spread has stayed true to its mission while expanding its impact in four key areas. First, I continue to design and sell merchandise to support those in need during challenging times. Second, I serve as the chief designer for non-profits in Korea and the US, creating logos, newsletters, scarves, neckties, and more. Third, I’m the go-to designer at my high school, bringing spirit and pride to student clubs, events, sports teams, and school initiatives. Finally, I’m a committed advocate for neurodiversity, mentoring autistic artists and promoting their work through exhibitions, workshops, and lectures.

My journey goes on, and I hope you'll join me in creating your own path of sharing and spreading!
